The American Psychiatric Foundation will assume fundraising duties for the new American Psychiatric Institute for Research and Education.
The announcement was made by Abram Hostetter, M.D., of Hershey, Pa., the newly elected president of the American Psychiatric Foundation Board of Directors. He was elected at a meeting of the foundation's board in February. Eliza W. Menninger M.D., of Belmont, Mass., was elected secretary.

Two new members were appointed to the foundation's board in March by APA's Board of Trustees: Robert J. McDevitt, M.D., and Steven D. Walker, M.S. The other members of the board are G.
