The 1999 Women's Resource Center will be the site of many activities of special interest to women psychiatrists during APA's 1999 annual meeting in Washington, D.C. A hospitality suite at the Renaissance Washington Hotel, near the Washington Convention Center, will be open Monday, May 17, through Wednesday, May 19. All women psychiatrists are invited to drop by while at the annual meeting.
Monday, May 17
8a.m. to 6 p.m.: Hospitality suite open
Noon to 1 p.m.: Luncheon for district branch committees on women (by invitation only)
Tuesday, May 18
8a.m. to 6 p.m.: Hospitality suite open
8a.m. to 9 a.m.: Breakfast for the Women's Mentoring Network and women psychiatrist leaders
Noon to 1 p.m.: Luncheon discussion about taking ABPN examinations
Wednesday, May 19
8a.m. to 4 p.m.: Hospitality suite open
8a.m. to 9 a.m.: Breakfast with women psychiatrists from outside the United States
Some other events of special interest to women are the meeting of the Caucus of Women and Association of Women Psychiatrists in Congressional A, ballroom level, Renaissance Washington Hotel, on Monday, May 17, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Also, former APA president Mary Jane England, M.D., will present the second Alexandra Symonds Award Lecture on Wednesday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 33, lower level, Washington Convention Center.
