Early Career Issues

Sign Up for ECP List Serve

Early career psychiatrists (ECPs) are invited to subscribe to Early Career Net, a list serve for early career psychiatrists, sponsored by APA. The primary purpose of this list serve is to foster communication about professional issues among ECPs.

Early Career Net is part of a broader initiative backed by the APA Board of Trustees to enhance and facilitate communication among APA members.

The Early Career Net list serve covers a wide range of topics that are of particular interest to psychiatrists beginning their professional careers and that help ECPs keep abreast of issues on which APA is working. For example, it provides members with up-to-date information from the APA central office, Assembly leadership, district branches, and Area organizations.

The list serve encourages debate on a full range of ethical, diagnostic, treatment, research, and philosophical issues in which ECPs have interests and concerns. The list serve also provides a vehicle for continued participation for ECPs after they move off of the GRASSMITS list serve.

To subscribe to Early Career Net, e-mail Sandra Price at APA's central office at sprice@psych.org or Barry Wall, M.D, at Barry_W_Wall@brown.edu. Provide your name, e-mail address, program name, and the year in which you completed residency training.
