Two Other Programs Honored
APA gave Significant Achievement Awards to two programs for their service to persons with mental illness and developmental disabilities at the Institute on Psychiatric Services in Los Angeles last month.
- The McHenry County Traumatic Brain Injury Case Management Program in Illinois provides and coordinates a full range of services for people with traumatic brain injuries. Services include screening and assessment, developing treatment plans focused on independent living, and intensive home case management. - Project Discovery of Moundbuilders Guidance Center Inc. in Newark, Ohio, is a four-week summer day camp for children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral problems. The camp serves 20 youths and their families yearly. Campers participate in traditional camp activities and attend therapeutic workshops and group therapy sessions.
