1998-2000 APA/Bristol-Myers Squibb Fellows Selected/H3>

The recipients of the 1998-2000 APA/Bristol-Myers Squibb Fellowship in Public Psychiatry have been selected, and their names appear below.

Annually each accredited psychiatry residency program is invited to nominate one outstanding resident who has a substantial interest in psychiatric services for the seriously mentally ill and underserved populations and who demonstrates significant potential for assuming a leadership role in public systems of care.

APA/Bristol-Myers Squibb Fellows serve on selected APA components and twice attend the Institute on Psychiatric Services (IPS). Over the course of the fellowship term, fellows work collaboratively to plan a series of workshops that will be presented at their second institute. Each class selects its representatives to the APA's Board of Trustees and the Joint Reference Committee, as well as to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Psychiatrists.

The program is funded by a generous grant from Bristol-Myers Squibb Company.
