HIV Correction

Thank you for the excellent synopsis in the August 7 issue of the workshop I chaired at APA's 1998 annual meeting, titled "Protease Inhibitors in the Mentally Ill With HIV." I must make one correction, however. I stated that bupropion (not buspirone, as stated in the article) is to be avoided with ritonavir. Bupropion may be safely used with other protease inhibitors.

Also, to clarify, lorazepam, oxazepam, and temazepam are the only benzodiazepines that should be used with ritonavir. Most other benzodiazepines may be safely used with the other protease inhibitors.
