Exhibits at This Year's Institute Offer Fun, Education, Respite

By Kevin J. Klipsch
APA Exhibits Manager

The exhibit hall at APA's 1998 Institute on Psychiatric Services, which is being held in Los Angeles October 2 to 6, is the place to be when meeting registrants are not in scientific sessions.

More than 100 commercial and educational exhibitors will be disseminating information on the latest books, products, and services for psychiatrists. In addition, there will be morning coffee breaks and afternoon receptions to give people a chance to relax and socialize with colleagues.

Also to be featured in the exhibit hall are the research poster sessions and APA Resource Center, where members can learn more about their APA benefits and pick up useful handouts and other materials.

Registrants will have a chance to win prizes daily in the exhibit hall, including a computer, personal copier, fax machine, VCR, video camcorder, free registration for next year's institute, dinner for two, and two round trip domestic airline tickets.

The exhibits will be located in the Pasadena Room of the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. For more information, call (202) 682-6103.
