APA Failing?

APA has failed to address adequately the two most serious issues threatening psychiatry and psychiatrists today:

1. Corporate takeover of psychiatry.


2. Oversupply of psychiatrists.

As a direct result of these two problems, psychiatrists' income is now at the bottom of all medical specialties, and the prestige of psychiatry is waning. Can we APA members have a dialogue on this subject in Psychiatric News before it is too late?
