The APA delegation to the AMA House of Delegates, including voting delegates, alternates, and nonvoting representatives, includes the following:
Joseph T. English, M.D., Jerry Wiener, M.D. and John McIntyre, M.D., are the voting delegates of the Section Council on Psychiatry; the three alternates, who may vote in the absence of a delegate, are Sara Charles, M.D., Judy Linger, M.D., and James Scully, M.D. Other APA-appointed members of the section council include Saul Levin, M.D., Clifford Moy, M.D., and Jo-Ellyn Ryall, M.D.
Mary Kay Smith, M.D., is APA's representative to the AMA Young Physicians Section. Laura Toner, M.D., and Geoffrey Gabriel, M.D., serve as delegate and alternate delegate to the AMA Resident Physicians Section. Other psychiatrists, including APA President Rodrigo Muņoz, M.D., Vice President Daniel Borenstein, M.D., and immediate past Assembly speaker Jeremy Lazarus, M.D., who is also an alternate delegate from Colorado, attended the House of Delegates meeting.
