Medical students are encouraged to participate in the many scientific sessions and social events planned for them at APA's 1998 annual meeting in Toronto. Through these sessions, they can learn more about psychiatry and meet residents and leaders in psychiatry who can provide career advice and guidance.

10 a.m.-Noon "How to Survive the Annual Meeting"; Room 104A, Lower Level, Convention Centre
Presenters in this orientation session will highlight annual meeting activities of interest to medical students and residents.
Monday, June 1
7 a.m.-8:30 a.m. "Meet the Experts: Sunny Side Up Breakfast"; Essex Ballroom, Sheraton Centre
More than 60 nationally recognized psychiatrists will sit at tables with small groups of residents and medical students to discuss a wide range of career issues and opportunities in psychiatry. Seating is limited, so arrive early. This breakfast session is jointly sponsored by the Committee of Residents and Fellows.
Tuesday, June 2
Medical Student Day
9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Workshop: "Current Issues in Medical Student Education"; Oakville Room, Lobby Level, Crowne Plaza Hotel The purpose of this workshop is to generate a candid discussion with medical students about issues involved in selecting a training program.
12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. Medical Student Day Luncheon; Imperial Room, Lobby Level, Royal York Hotel
Medical students and residents are invited to join with training directors and distinguished leaders in psychiatry at a luncheon sponsored by the APA Committee on Medical Student Education. Seating is limited, so arrive early. The luncheon is supported by a grant from Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories.
