Please note: The entire scientific program at the annual meeting, as outlined below, has been approved for CME credit. Most program activities are designated Category 1; these include advances in research, CME courses, clinical case and continuous clinical case conferences, debates, forums, industry-supported symposia, lectures, medical updates, media sessions, new research oral/slide sessions, presidential symposium, review of psychiatry, round table discussion, scientific and clinical report sessions, symposia, and workshops. Other program activities are designated Category 2; these include master educator clinical and research consultations with, discussion groups, new research poster sessions, video production clinics, and some media sessions, lectures, and workshops.

One of the criteria for Category 1 certification is that a program explore one subject or a closely related group of subjects in depth.
As part of the overall scientific program, 100 continuing medical education courses will be offered at the annual meeting, either in a half-day or full-day format. Those attending courses will receive a CME certificate at the conclusion of each course attended. A full complement of courses will be presented starting Saturday, May 30. Admission to all courses is by annual meeting badge and course ticket only. .
APA members are required to maintain their own record of CME hours. To claim credit, registrants should attend a session or course in its entirety and complete the certificate found in the front of the annual meeting syllabus.
