1998 Annual Meeting
Auxiliary to Feature Author at Annual Luncheon

It's not for women only.

The APA Auxiliary is made up of the spouses-men and women-of APA members who are committed to working on behalf of the mentally ill and supporting the goals of APA and the field of psychiatry.

APA's annual meeting provides a convenient opportunity for auxiliary members to sponsor a series of events for current and prospective members as well as for APA members. A schedule of the auxiliary's activities at the Toronto annual meeting appears in the box at left.

The highlight of the auxiliary's activities is its annual meeting and luncheon, which will be held at the famed Four Seasons Hotel on June 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Four Seasons is known for its excellent cuisine as well as its elegance. It is located in an area of small shops and art galleries, with several museums nearby.

The featured speaker at the luncheon is Gary Michael Dault, a writer on cultural issues with a special interest in the visual arts, architecture, and film. He is an adjunct associate professor of the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the University of Toronto. Dault is the editor of Architecture Canada 1997: The Governor General's Awards for Architecture and wrote the script for the 1994 six-hour miniseries "Inside the Vatican With Sir Peter Usinov."

Tickets for the luncheon are $50 each if purchased before May 15. After that date, the cost is $55. To obtain ticket information, call Sharon Good at (305) 442-9379 or send an e-mail message to CBrown@psych.org.
