Update on Action

In the past month your member-in-training (MIT) representatives in APA have accomplished the following:

• Established a mentoring program for MIT’s in the Assembly, with work now on expanding the program throughout APA’s councils and committees.



• Published the latest edition of the Psychiatric Residents’ Newsletter (PRN), which focused on "Psychotherapy for MIT’s." The fall 1997 edition will focus on "Balancing Your Life."



• Coordinated a series of workshops for MIT’s at APA’s 1997 Institute on Psychiatric Services, to be held October 24 to 28 in Washington, D.C.
