DBs Urged to Get Involved in Alliance Essay Project

The APA Alliance is again sponsoring its successful "When Not to Keep a Secret" national essay contest. APA Alliance President-elect Alicia Muñoz is encouraging all APA district branches to participate. The contest—praised this past year by the Clinton Administration—is aimed at high school students, giving them an opportunity to express their fears and feelings about school violence.

The national deadline for essays is March 16, 2001. Award winners will be asked to attend the APA annual meeting in New Orleans.

Contest materials are available by contacting Alicia Muñoz at aamunoz@aol.com or (619) 298-4782.
