Women members of APA are invited to join APAWOMEN, the e-mail list serve dedicated to the discussion of issues involving women in psychiatry.

This member-to-member electronic forum helps to foster an atmosphere of cooperation, mentoring, and support in a field where women are still a minority. It also enhances the ability of the APA Office of Career Development and Women’s Programs to communicate with women members.

Examples of items appearing on APAWOMEN are discussions of issues involving women in psychiatry, postings of job openings, online mentorship, and information on women’s events at APA meetings.
