Women Residents Selected for Annual Meeting Leadership Program

The following women psychiatry residents have been selected to participate in the 2000 Aventis Women Residents Travel Program. This program pays the recipients’ travel expenses to attend APA’s 2000 annual meeting in Chicago.

The program is coordinated by the APA Office of Career Development and Women’s Programs and supported through an educational grant from Aventis Pharmaceuticals. The recipients were selected on the basis of their interest in future leadership positions in organized medicine and APA.

The recipients are being invited to participate in a "track" of sessions and activities at the annual meeting that are of special interest to women and residents. They will also have the opportunity to meet and network with nationally recognized women leaders in psychiatry and with each other at a luncheon on Monday, May 15.
